Casting is the Future – a short film showcasing the importance of the castings industry and how the industry is a key part of the circular economy for metals, recycling much of the scrap metal in society.

A Walk around a Foundry – short film showcasing a 360 degree virtual foundry tour.   This was produced as part of a pilot project to showcase careers in the castings industry to young people and their teachers, parents etc.  Filmed in two local West Midlands foundries, the 360 tour is for school children as part of careers and stem programmes to encourage young people to consider careers in manufacturing and engineering.

Casting Metal – the basics of casting -  a 15 minute film with former teacher, Stuart Hughes, who walks us through the process of both sand and die casting using the Cast Metal Federation’s portable foundry kit.  The kit is a safe, reusable & educational toolkit to showcase how easy and fun casting metals can be.

Casting my Future – a short film aimed at showcasing the industry to young people to encourage them to consider a career in casting.  This short video will tell you a little more about the industry, about the things we make, how we recycle metal into parts for modern life.
