Someone was certainly wanting to disrupt the Rectory Society’s AGM last night - tube strike, gridlock and rain - but they didn’t realise that our members are made of stalwart material. Many became rain soaked pilgrims as they trekked across London and doughty 90 year olds managed to arrive on time from Suffolk and St Albans.

And how VERY lucky we were to come to the Worshipful Company of Founders for dinner afterwards. You have a truly beautiful Hall which so cleverly melds the old with the new.

Keith, I’m enormously grateful to you for giving our guests a history lesson. They loved it and am only upset that some of us were still chasing people out of the church and didn’t get there in time to hear you. And, Leo, thank you so much for organising everything and being there to welcome. The Livery Hall looks even more magnificent in the evening.

The colourful atmosphere is extremely uplifting and the immaculate service provided us with a wonderful calm haven which was much appreciated on an unpredictable stormy evening.

Thank you all so much for your help in making it a very memorable occasion for the Rectory Society and their guests.

Our National Awards event at the Founders’ Hall was a great success – with a great location and with easy access to transport networks.

The Hall, with its smart décor and stylish interior, was a befitting venue for this international event, with great food, professionally served.

The atmosphere on the day was really relaxed, and nothing was too much trouble for the team at the Hall - and we have had some great feedback from our guests. 

I would certainly recommend the Hall as a great central London venue.

The University of London’s Institute of Historical Research was delighted to be able to bring our 2022 London Summer School students to visit the Founders’ Company Hall. The opportunity to browse the historical, and contemporary, collections really helped the students, whose prior experience of the City varied considerably, to understand the evolving role of livery companies. Eloise and Leo were wonderful hosts, who both offered wonderful explanations and answers to students’ questions, and made us feel extremely welcome in the hall.

I hosted a lunch for seventeen Past Masters of the 2017/18 vintage last week (July 2023).

All of them have enjoyed being invited to many City Livery Companies during their time but I was surprised by how many of them commented on how much they enjoyed dining at Founder's Hall.

There is quite obviously an intimacy and a uniqueness which they really appreciated.

As well as the location and ambience the food, wine and service were absolutely impeccable. The serving staff were unfailingly cheerful, as well as being extremely efficient; we weren't rushed in any way and, indeed, some of the guests appeared not to want to leave!

All in all it was a wonderful lunch and a really lovely experience.

We hosted our annual Spring Lunch at the hall. The room made such a positive impact, the hosting perfect and Life's Kitchen's food its usual exemplary standard. The feedback we have received since has been really good. Thank you!
