In the Spring edition of The Founder we asked ‘What do Founders do?’ and showed there are a very wide variety of skills and businesses that can be called ‘founding’.

Having looked at the practical, business-related side of the industry that led to the formation of our Company in 1365, this Autumn edition focuses on the Company’s charitable activities, which are a major pillar of our work in 2024. I have no doubt that by the time you finish reading it you will be astounded by the nature and extent of our charitable giving.  

We directly support about 48 young people, but when other projects are included, our reach is far greater. The emphasis, as you will read, is our longstanding wish to support people, not things. - HHJ Simon Oliver, Upper Warden
