Annual Port of London Race 2024

8 people standing in front of the River Thames wearing rowing kit, with cutter style boats behind them

The Belle Founder had another great evening on the Thames on Wednesday 17th July. We competed in the annual Port of London race - 4.6 miles from Waterloo to Chelsea. The sun shone, the rain didn't fall, and the wind didn't blow. We strove and rowed in great form, responding to the cox's shouted entreaties. At the end everyone piled into The Waterman pub at Chelsea for beer and burgers. Splendid. Thanks to everyone in the crew. Next outing is the fearsome 22mile Great River Race on Saturday 21st September - Bishop Ed Condry
